How the UA is Funded

Like all public research universities, The University of Arizona is funded through a variety of sources – tuition, state support, research grants and contracts, private philanthropy and more. Currently, tuition revenue represents 15 percent of the University’s overall budget and contributes significantly to the University’s ability to reach its goal of being one of the 10 best public research universities in the nation.
